This privacy statement helps you, as a visitor to our websites, to understand how Be Informed uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our websites. We do our utmost to ensure that your data is processed in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This privacy policy applies only to both this website and the Plaza documentation portal. Therefore, when you click on a link to another website during your visit, you should read the privacy policy on that website. This privacy policy was last updated on December 16th 2019. Be Informed keeps its privacy policy under regular review and posts any updates to this web page. Please check our privacy policy regularly, as this page is subject to frequent changes.
Data collection
During your visit, Be Informed collects analytical data about your visit (such as the length of your session and the number of pages you visit), as well as personal identification information (such as your name, email address, and phone number). We collect analytical data when you use and view our website via your browsers cookies. Personal identification information is only collected when you provide this information in contact forms or download forms on our website.
We use analytical data merely to improve our website, as well as the services we provide through our website. In no way can this data be traced back to your personal information and is therefore fully anonymous. Personal identification information you may provide in a contact form on our website is necessary to be able to contact you at your request. When you provide your e-mail address to access a download on our website, we will use this data with your permission to email you special information about our company and services.
Personal identification data that you may provide to Be Informed as part of a contract when you use our services and products, will only be processed in the Netherlands to provide access to our documentation portal (Plaza), our issue registration and support portal (Jira), provide you with product news and commercial information, as well as for administrative purposes (contracting and invoicing).
Data storage and security
Be Informed securely stores your data using the hosting services of a ISO27001:2013 certified company, based in the Netherlands, to host our infrastructure and applications. A processing agreement with this company is in place, to ensure that all data storage and processing complies with the GDPR regulation.
Personal identification data provided through contact forms will be stored and used by Be Informed as long as necessary to perform the requested services.
Email addresses collected for e-mail newsletters will be stored for the duration of the subscription. You will always be provided with an option to unsubscribe. Once you unsubscribe, your data will be removed.
Personal identification data you provide to Be Informed as part of a contract will be stored for the duration of your contract plus one year (for P&C) and keep financial related information on our records for 7 years as required by tax authorities.
Your rights
Be Informed would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
- The right to access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data. We may charge you a fee for this service.
